GARLIC ONION
It is agreed that the beginning of knowledge is the fear of God. Whatever we ask our creator in prayers shall be given in abundance. laying aside our superficial knowledge, our fore-fathers in ancient time were able to discover the importance and health benefit of garlic onion.
WHAT IS GARLIC
Garlic is a perennial plant (it belongs to the Lily family) with a botanical name "Allium sativum". garlic is onion like plant with strong taste and offensive smell which is cultivated mostly in Asia but it is now commonly grown all over the world.
Garlic and Onion move together and almost having similar properties. the leaves as well as roots may be used in food preparation. Garlic bulb unlike onions is divided into about 10 to 25 smaller section called "cloves". Note the difference between a garlic bulb and garlic cloves.
HOW TO USE AND COOK GARLIC ONION
Garlic may be eaten raw, but it should always be combined with other foods. For example, raw garlic can be combined with some vegetables in preparation of Stew and Soup. When garlic is eaten raw in the mouth, it can cause burns along the throat and stomach. When Garlic is combined with Parsley, it reduces the odor.
When using raw garlic in your meals, One to Three cloves in one meal are sufficient as shown in the picture below. You can slice the cloves then add to your stew or soup while cooking, and you can grind (blend) the cloves then add to your stew or soup likewise. In most cases, one clove per meal or even one clove for the whole day may be all that is needed by your body. Over-use of any food or nutrient can result in unpleasant symptoms.
When you add garlic to your stew or soup, it should not stay long on the fire (over-heated). It is better you add it when your stew or soup is done. Prolong cooking of garlic reduces its potential nutritional value.
